Mogi das Cruzes (SP), December 2024 - <\/strong>The Julio Sim\u00f5es Institute, Simpar's social arm, will award students and teachers from public schools in the region who took part in an essay competition inspired by the story of Mr. Julio Sim\u00f5es, the businessman who founded the Group. The ceremony will take place next Tuesday (03), at 10am, in the auditorium of the Memory and Culture Center, located at Simpar's headquarters in Mogi das Cruzes (SP), and concludes the annual schedule of school visits to the company's space. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the event, the authors of the three best essays, which were assessed by a judging panel, will be recognized. First place will win a notebook, second place will receive a tablet and third place will take home a smartphone<\/em>. Teachers will also receive awards in recognition of their contributions as educators and agents of change. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all, 94 classes and 2,751 4th graders from Mogi's public elementary schools took part in visits to the Memory Center over the course of the year. The students were able to learn about the history of the Simpar Group and its founder, Julio Sim\u00f5es, as well as a little more about migration, the relationship between the countryside and the city, the transformation of raw materials by industry and other topics related to the businessman's history.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the visits, the students were invited to take part in an essay competition run by the Institute, with the theme \"The paths I must follow to make my dream come true\". The texts had to portray the student's dream, taking into account what they had learned at the Memory Center. Each participating class could send in the two best essays. In all, the competition received a total of 110 essays, representing 38 educational institutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"The competition is a way of rewarding the students' efforts and inspiring them for the future. Mr. Julio wanted to have his own business and, even in the face of difficulties, he didn't give up on achieving his goals. A Portuguese immigrant, his story of dedication and overcoming, linked to the development of Mogi, encourages people to look beyond their limitations. This is the main objective of the visits, <\/em>comments Bia Andari<\/strong>, manager of the Julio Sim\u00f5es Institute<\/strong>responsible for directing the social investments of Simpar<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The essays play a very important role for the Institute, as they help us understand how much the children have been impacted by the message that, through hard work and good values, they can achieve their goals. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
