Julio Simões Institute collects half a ton of donations for families on the São Paulo coast

São Paulo, July 2023.

January 2023 - O Julio Simões Institute, the social arm of SIMPAR (the holding company that controls the JSL, MOVIDA, VAMOS, AUTOMOB, CS Brasil, CS Infra and Banco BBC brands), together with the group's companies, collected more than half a ton in donations to support the families that suffered from the heavy rains on the coast of São Paulo.

The donations were made by the group's employees at the company's headquarters in Greater São Paulo. The items include non-perishable food, clothes, hygiene and cleaning products. The donations were delivered this week to the headquarters of the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), which will forward the items to families all along the São Paulo coast.

In addition to the donations made by the Institute, the JSL, Brazil's largest logistics services company, also contributed to the transportation of donations in conjunction with social organizations - such as Gerando Falcões, Cufa - and the company's clients, also in support of the victims of the rains on the coast of São Paulo.

So far, the company's trucks have traveled more than 4,000 kilometers to deliver around 220 tons of donations, including food, hygiene products and clothing, to the affected regions. JSL has also made utility vehicles available to transport medicines.
