Júlio Simões Institute starts Winter for Good campaign to help people in vulnerable situations

São Paulo, July 2023.

May 2023 - O Júlio Simões Institute, the social arm of Simpar - the holding company that controls JSL, Movida, Vamos, CS Brasil, CS Infra, Automob and BBC Digital, is launching its Winter Campaign from the 22nd. With the drop in temperatures, the initiative aims to collect essential items such as hygiene articles, pairs of gloves, socks and blankets, which will be distributed to institutions that support homeless people.

To mark the start of the campaign, the first action planned will be the delivery of soup in Praça do Relógio, in Mogi das Cruzes, this Thursday (25), with the participation of volunteers from the Júlio Simões Institute and the SOPA Institute. "The hot meal will be prepared by the SOPA Institute and served with affection, providing encouragement for those who face the adversities of the cold and the lack of shelter" says Bia Andari, manager of the Julio Simões Institute.

The campaign, which will run until June 7, is an initiative that seeks to encourage active participation by employees in corporate social responsibility. Thus, the action aims not only to provide material support to those who need it most, but also to develop the human potential of employees, making them more engaged and motivated.

"Our expectation is that the SIMPAR Group's Winter Campaign, promoted by the Júlio Simões Institute, will reach a significant number of donations, providing help and comfort to homeless people in the regions it serves. The initiative also seeks to inspire other companies and institutions to engage in similar actions, creating a chain of solidarity that can make a difference to the lives of those who need it most", adds the manager of the Julio Simões Institute.
