June 2023 - O Julio Simões Institutethe social arm of the Simpar Group, ended this year's Winter for Good Campaign with a record number of donations, totaling 13,600 items including blankets, socks, gloves and hygiene items.
The internal action, which began on May 22 and ran until June 13, involved employees from all the group's companies and more than 50 collection points throughout Brazil.
The products were sent to social institutions all over the country. In Mogi das Cruzes, specifically, the delivery was carried out by volunteer employees who go out to the communities with the support and coordination of the Julio Simões Institute.
Compared to last year, which collected 7,300 items, SIMPAR's 2023 Winter Campaign saw an increase of 80% in the number of donations. "This significant growth is a reflection of the commitment of employees and partners who understand the importance of helping to alleviate the difficulties faced by homeless and extremely vulnerable people during the winter months" says Bia Andari, manager of the Julio Simões Institute.
This winter, the Institute also teamed up with Instituto SOPA to deliver soups in Mogi das Cruzes, which provided comfort to homeless people. "These joint initiatives show the importance of teamwork and collaboration between institutions committed to making a difference in the lives of the community", adds the institute's manager.
