In addition to the expansion of Women in Leadership, SIMPAR encourages female participation in its workforce through a number of other actions
SIMPAR, the holding company that manages the JSL, Movida, Vamos, CS Brasil, CS Infra, Automob, Ciclus Ambiental and Banco BBC Digital brands, aims to encourage women to stay, develop and grow. As a result of initiatives in line with this purpose, it recorded an increase in the number of women leaders in 2023:
- - 47% of the leadership team within SIMPAR (holding company) is made up of women;
- - A 90% increase in the number of women directors over the last two years at SIMPAR;
- - 28% of women in leadership positions in the Group;
- - Growth in the presence of women on the boards of the holding company and subsidiaries.
The women's development movement at SIMPAR can be observed through a variety of initiatives, such as the "Women in Leadership" Program. Initially applied at JSL and extended in 2023 to Movida, the program is now being replicated to all of the Group's subsidiaries in 2024.
In addition to the expansion of Women in Leadership, SIMPAR is encouraging female participation in its workforce through other simultaneous actions. JSL leads the Women in Management Program, which trains women to operate machinery and heavy assets - an area in which most men work.
In addition to these actions, SIMPAR is a member of the Women 360 Movement: since 2019, the company has been a member of the institution, which aims to contribute to the economic empowerment of women, with a focus on engaging the business community and society in general.
