The Julio Simões Institute, SIMPAR's social arm, has opened applications for the 2025 edition of the "Você quer? You can" program, which focuses on the inclusion and development of young people in situations of social vulnerability. A total of 50 places have been made available, with classes starting in May at SIMPAR's administrative headquarters, in Mogi das Cruzes.
The curriculum includes math and Portuguese classes with a focus on reducing the school gap, an introduction to the Office Package, career guidance and the construction of a life project.
Applications can be made via an online form (click here). Young people aged between 17 and 22 who live in the Mogi das Cruzes region and have an income of up to one minimum wage per person per household can apply. Young people must be attending, or have already completed, secondary school.
About the program
With a duration of four months and a workload of 50 hours, the institute's program offers training in Portuguese and mathematics, an introduction to the Office Package, career guidance and the construction of a life project.
In addition, during the training, the young people visit some of SIMPAR's operations and take part in talks with professionals from different areas to understand the day-to-day running of the companies.
Each participant receives a stipend of R$ 250.00 per month, two meals a day (three times a week), teaching materials and transport vouchers.
After registering, the selection process will assess criteria such as proactivity, commitment, responsibility and willingness to learn.
At the end of the course, the young people will have improved their socio-emotional and academic skills. Those with attendance above 80% and who meet the requirements of the assessments will be able to take part in selection processes within the Simpar Group or in other companies located in Mogi das Cruzes and surrounding municipalities.
