Júlio Simões Institute makes JSL truck available to transport donations

São Paulo, August 2024.

Institutions join forces and direct donations to regions hit by the rain in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo

The Julio Simões Institute, Simpar's social arm, in solidarity with the communities affected by the recent rains in Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, has made a truck available from JSL, a Simpar group company specializing in logistics with the largest and most integrated portfolio of services, to transport 11 tons of cleaning items. This initiative aims to provide immediate assistance to homeless families affected by the heavy rains in the region.

The materials, which were donated by GTEX Brasil, are part of the Legion of Good Will's (LBV) "SOS Calamities" campaign, a mobilization that aims to raise resources and essential supplies to help those most in need during emergencies. The items were transported from São Paulo (SP) to Petrópolis, in Rio de Janeiro, and to Cachoeiro de Itapemirim, in Espírito Santo, areas heavily impacted by the rains.

"We believe that by pooling our efforts and resources, we can offer meaningful support to the communities that need it most, bringing hope and relief in the midst of adversity. This action demonstrates the power that joining forces can have on the lives of those facing difficulties" said Bia Andari, manager of the Julio Simões Institute.
