The company released its results on Wednesday evening
JSL (JSLG3), the Simpar Group's road logistics company, recorded an adjusted net profit of R$ 72.2 million in the third quarter of 2024. The amount represents an increase of 25.3% compared to the same period last year.
Adjusted EBITDA totaled R$ 466.4 million, an increase of 18.7% on the same comparative basis. Revenues, in turn, rose 17% to R$ 2.352 billion.
JSL's CEO, Ramon Garcia de Alcaraz, attributes the growth in the different lines of the balance sheet to internal and external factors. Within the company, he highlights the increase in the number of new contracts. The figure rose to R$ 2.2 billion between July and September 2024 compared to R$ 910 million a year earlier. In the year to date, closed contracts represent R$ 4.5 billion.
"Our goal is to continue lining up contracts in different segments to guarantee protection against sectoral variations," said the executive in an interview with Broadcast. The strategy also consists of looking for areas in which the company has a greater degree of specialization, creating a natural barrier to entry.
From a macroeconomic point of view, the CEO highlights the good performance of the economy in the various sectors in which the company operates, from primary industry to consumer goods and retail.
