Employees can renew their haircuts and contribute to making wigs for cancer patients
In support of the Pink October campaign, which raises awareness about the prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer, Simpar - holding which brings together companies such as JSL, Movida, Vamos, CS Brasil, Automob, Banco BBC Digital, CS Infra and Ciclus Ambiental - is promoting a solidarity action in conjunction with the NGO Cabelegria to donate hair.
Today (22), from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the company's administrative headquarters in Mogi das Cruzes (SP), employees are having the opportunity to renew their look with haircuts and contribute to the making of wigs for patients undergoing cancer treatment.
The minimum size for donations is 20 centimeters and hair with or without chemicals (dye, bleaching, etc.) will be accepted. Employees can also bring their own cut hair or that of family members, friends and acquaintances who would like to help. Another option is to donate scarves, which will also be given to the charity. Finally, it will also be possible to contribute a symbolic amount.
Since 2013, Simpar's alliance with Cabelegria has reinforced the company's commitment to social causes and community well-being, in line with the importance of breast cancer prevention. The wigs made from donated hair help to improve the self-esteem of women and children undergoing cancer treatment.
