The largest dealership company in the country and the first in the segment to go public in Brazil, AUTOMOB is SIMPAR's fourth listed operating business
São Paulo, December 16, 2024 - Under the ticker AMOB3, AUTOMOB, Brazil's largest and most diversified dealership group, debuts today (16) on B3's Novo Mercado segment, becoming the first company in its segment to go public in Brazil. With this, it becomes SIMPAR's (SIMH3) fourth listed operating company, joining JSL (JSLG3), Movida (MOVI3) and VAMOS (VAMO3).
For Antonio Barreto, AUTOMOB's CEO, the listing is not a goal in itself, but a consequence of the consolidation work carried out by SIMPAR over the last two years. This process has included AUTOMOB's strong determination to generate value and differentiated results, unique competitive advantages stemming from gains in scale, capillarity and synergies which, combined with organic growth, have created a group with great potential for sustainable development.
"We have created the largest group and most diversified portfolio of brands and models in the dealership market in the country and we have enormous potential to be explored - whether in stores or in services - always with the commitment to be increasingly competitive in our market and to generate the highest possible return for our shareholders," said the executive.
AUTOMOB stands out for its strong diversification and capillarity. With a portfolio of 35 brands of cars, motorcycles, trucks, machinery and equipment and 188 stores in 12 states across the country, the company has 5,200 employees. Considering the financial and operational results for the third quarter of this year, it sold 180,000 vehicles, including light and heavy vehicles, and recorded net revenue of R$ 12.1 billion and EBITDA of R$ 439 million.
The only publicly traded company in its segment in Brazil, AUTOMOB now has special access to the capital markets, expanding its sources of funds and reducing its cost of capital. The listing will allow the company to use liquid shares to make strategic moves, boosting its growth and making it the Group best positioned to lead changes and contribute to the consolidation of the dealership sector in the country.
MARKET: With more than 10 listed companies, the North American market is a benchmark for dealership groups that operate profitably and grow locally. This business model is also very similar in the UK and Chinese markets. According to Anfavea, the Brazilian automotive market is the fastest growing in the world. In 2024, more than 2.6 million vehicles were registered. If you look at the used-vehicle business, for example, with an even greater spread, the expansion is five times greater. "The used-vehicle sector is present in small, independent, multi-brand municipal stores and is a business that can be fully exploited and developed," says Barreto.
About Automob
Automob is a company in the Simpar Group (SIMH3) which sells light vehicles, new and used, and heavy vehicles, including trucks, machinery and equipment on the yellow and green lines. The group includes Original Autos, Autostar, UAB, Green, Nova Quality, Grupo Alta and Best Points, as well as the recently merged TransRio and Tietê.
The listing is part of the strategic reorganization process announced by SIMPAR in September this year. The operation consisted of separating VAMOS Locação and VAMOS Concessionárias and combining them with AUTOMOB. Thus, VAMOS will become an exclusive leasing company, while AUTOMOB will consolidate the Group's sales and service operations of light vehicle, truck, agribusiness machinery and equipment and yellow line dealerships into a single company, expanding its portfolio of products, brands and services in different segments.
