Sustainable practices and growth

JSL

The company recently released its results for the third quarter of 2024 and recorded a net profit of R$ 72.2 million, which represents an increase of 25.3% compared to the same period last year.

JSL operates based on ESG principles and is part of B3's Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE). In addition to maintaining its own fleet of trucks and mechanical horses with an average age of 3.7 years - around six times lower than the average for the Brazilian fleet - the company invests in various social programs.

Among them is Women in Driving, which has already trained more than 150 women to work as truck drivers, large machinery operators and forklift drivers. Conectando Fronteiras, on the other hand, was launched in October this year with the aim of promoting the inclusion, employability and socio-economic integration of migrants and people in situations of refuge.

Movida

Movida's 3Q24 results brought record revenue, EBITDA and operating margins, reflecting the company's excellent performance. In the third quarter, the company recorded an adjusted net profit of R$ 91 million, reversing the previous year's loss and accumulating R$ 232 million in the first nine months of 2024. The quarter ended with a total fleet of 248,000 cars, consolidating the company's growth and efficiency.

With its sustainable practices, the company has reduced tCO² emissions by 39% per R$ million in net revenue since 2019. In addition, it was a pioneer among car rental companies listed on the stock exchange in issuing a Sustainability Linked Bond and achieving international B Corporation certification.

One of the highlights is the incentive to use Brazilian ethanol, a biofuel that is less polluting than gasoline, which is used in all of the fleet's internal refueling. In 2023, 50% of the kilometers traveled by customers were also powered by ethanol. In the same year, 59% of vehicle washes were carried out dry, resulting in savings of 257 million liters of water - the equivalent of 135 Olympic swimming pools.

Movida has also adopted energy-efficient practices. Between 2022 and 2023, it increased the number of units powered by solar energy from four to 58. In waste management, it achieved an average reuse rate of 83%, significantly higher than the sector average of 52%.

LET'S GO

A national leader in the rental segment, the company has more than 89% of leased fleet. In the third quarter of this year, VAMOS made a consolidated net profit of R$ 175.1 million, up 51.2% on 3Q23. With a fleet of more than 89,000 leased vehicles, the company totaled more than 51,000 assets, of which 79% are trucks and implements, and 21% correspond to machinery and equipment.

By encouraging fleet renewal, Vamos plays an important role in reducing pollutant emissions, since new vehicles can emit up to 60% less. In addition to the environmental impact, more modern trucks significantly increase productivity, allowing for 57% more mileage. These gains are also reflected in profitability: after replacing the truck, drivers' pay can increase by more than 50%, reinforcing the economic and social benefits of modernizing the fleet.
