The companies were recognized among the businesses with high corporate sustainability performance, based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA)
São Paulo, February 2025 - For another consecutive year, Simpar and its subsidiaries Movida and Vamos are among the most sustainable companies, according to the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2025. The three companies are present in the Transportation and Transportation Infrastructure category, where, in this edition, only 28 of the 198 companies in the sector submitted to the ranking were included.
The yearbook, published by S&P Global, one of the world's largest ratings companies, highlights the companies with the best corporate sustainability performance in their respective sectors. The assessment is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a questionnaire that analyzes the sustainable practices of companies around the world.
To be included in the yearbook, companies need to have a performance that is at least among the 15% best in their respective sector. In this cycle, more than 7,600 companies were evaluated and only 780 were included in the report due to their high performance.
"The Group's performance in the Yearbook demonstrates how sustainability is integrated into business strategy, reinforcing our commitment, as a holding company, to promoting sustainable development in all Simpar companies. This includes monitoring the implementation and adoption of high standards of governance and socio-environmental practices that drive the continuous evolution of this agenda within the businesses" says Paula Pedrão, Simpar's Executive Director for Communication and Sustainability.
Simpar, the Brazilian holding company that controls eight companies operating in the logistics, mobility, sanitation, concessions and financial services sectors with independent management and operations, had already been in the ranking since 2023. This year its score remained at 60 out of 100.
Movida, the car rental company with the newest and most modern fleet in Brazil, scored 61 points out of 100. Vamos, the market leader in truck, machinery, equipment and bus rental, with more than 40,000 vehicles rented in the country, increased its score by 1 percentage point to 60 out of 100.
