More than 1.8 million boxes of chocolate eggs - an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year, according to a survey by JSL
The demand for traditional Easter this year have increased, even in a scenario of higher prices.
According to JSL, a road logistics company, more than 1.8 million boxes of chocolate eggs were sent to businesses, representing an increase of 30% compared to the same period last year.
The company claims that, in addition to chocolate, the demand for fish also grew, with an additional thousand tons imported compared to the other months of the year.
JSL's CEO, Ramon Alcaraz, said in an interview with CNN there was an increase in consumption and demand for these items, as well as a rise in production, which meant that the company had to increase the number of trucks and workers at this time.
This movement is taking place against a backdrop of rising food prices.
