A solidarity partnership brings together two social institutes in Mogi das Cruzes this Thursday (25). The Julio Simões Institute, the social arm of Simpar - the holding company that controls JSL, Movida, Vamos, CS Brasil, CS Infra, Automob and BBC Digital, started its traditional Winter Campaign this month and is promoting the project among its employees. In the city, its partner is Sopa Institute in a solidarity action that will take place today: a hot meal will be served to homeless people in Oswaldo Cruz Square, known for the clock on the corner of Dr. Deodato Wertheimer and Barão de Jaceguai streets, and also for being a meeting point for homeless people.
Simpar employees are taking part in the Winter Campaign, which collects essential items such as hygiene articles, pairs of gloves, socks and blankets - this material will be given to institutions that support homeless people.
To mark the start of the campaign in this 2023 edition, the first action planned will be the delivery of soup, with the participation of volunteers from both institutes. "The hot meal will be prepared by the SOPA Institute and served with affection, providing encouragement for those who face the adversities of the cold and the lack of shelter," says Bia Andari, manager of the Julio Simões Institute.
The collection of donations, which will run until June 7, is an initiative that seeks to encourage active participation by employees in corporate social responsibility. Thus, the action aims not only to provide material support to those who need it most, but also to develop the human potential of employees, making them more engaged and motivated."Our expectation is that the SIMPAR Group's Winter Campaign, promoted by the Júlio Simões Institute, will reach a significant number of donations, providing help and comfort to homeless people in the regions served. The initiative also seeks to inspire other companies and institutions to engage in similar actions, creating a chain of solidarity that can make a difference in the lives of those who need it most," adds the manager of the Julio Simões Institute.
