SIMPAR leads the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3) for the third consecutive year with a record number of companies selected

São Paulo, August 2024.

JSL, Movida and Vamos join the 19th B3 ISE portfolio, made up of 78 companies from 36 sectors

For the first time on the Corporate Sustainability Index (ISE B3), the JSL, a logistics services company, is committed to decarbonization strategies adapted to each client profile. Movida, with the most modern fleet in Brazil, is making progress on ESG commitments recognized by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), while Vamos, the market leader in the rental and sale of trucks, machinery and equipment, has achieved its second inclusion in the portfolio.

The 19th B3 ISE portfolio brings together 78 companies from 36 sectors, making it a solid benchmark for responsible investment in Brazil. It also stands out as a driver of good business practices.

"A SIMPAR maintains a management model that prioritizes the continuous evolution of ESG practices, helping to promote positive impacts on business and foster sustainable development," says Paula Pedrão, SIMPAR's Director of Corporate Communication and Sustainability. "We define actions in line with business strategies, setting targets with monitoring indicators to guarantee identifiable and monitorable progress, creating a reliable reporting system and a transparent dialog," she adds.

In 2023, SIMPAR stood out in important sustainability indices such as MSCI, Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) and Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), earning a B grade in the last CDP cycle. This assessment, which ranks SIMPAR among the best in the global transportation and logistics sector, contributed to its inclusion in the B3 ISE Portfolio.

holding has set an ambitious target of reducing emissions intensity by 15% between 2021 and 2030, implementing gradual projects such as fleet renewal by JSL and the use of alternative energies by Movida. Movida, in fact, achieved an unprecedented milestone by having its emissions reduction targets validated by SBTi, becoming the first rental company on the continent with such recognition.
