Julio Simões Institute supports flood victims in Rio Grande Do Sul

São Paulo, August 2024.

O Julio Simões Institute - driver of the holding company's social investments SIMPAR and their companies - JSL, Vamos, Movida, Automob, CS Brasil, CS Infra, Ciclus Ambiental and Banco BBC Digital -, is coordinating various actions to help the victims of the heavy rains and floods in Rio Grande do Sul, with the active participation of more than 50 thousand employees of the Group.  

The cash collection campaign (pix) carried out by the Institute for the purchase of basic necessities received R$ 275 thousand in donations SIMPAR Group employees and society as a whole. For every real received, the Institute donated another R$ 1, totaling more than half a million reais. The amount is already being allocated to Rio Grande do Sul through the following actions: 

Purchase and transportation of 15,000 items basic necessities - including blankets, food baskets, hygiene and cleaning items, repellent and more; 

Purchase and transport of more than 250,000 liters of mineral water; 

11 trucks dedicated to collecting and transporting donations from various locations in the state of São Paulo to the reception points of the companies JSL, Movida and Vamos, located in Canoas and Butiá (RS); 

Donation and transportation of items to the Rio Grande do Sul NGO BANCO DE ALIMENTOSThe event, one of the most traditional in the state, will bring donations to those in need. 

The Institute also held a internal campaign to collect clothes and blankets bound for Rio Grande do Sul. The action carried out at the administrative headquarters in Mogi das Cruzes (SP) and São Paulo collected more than 15 thousand pieces clothes, shoes and toys which have been sent to the state since last Tuesday (7).
