Simpar and its subsidiaries are among the most sustainable companies

São Paulo, August 2024.

The S&P Global Yearbook ranks Simpar, Movida and Vamos. In addition, the new CDP assessment raises Movida's rating

The holding company Simpar and its subsidiaries Movida and Vamos were recognized among the most sustainable companies in the world by the Sustainability Yearbook Member of the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024. The three companies are in the Transportation and Transportation Infrastructure category. Movida maintained its score of 63 points out of 100; and Vamos appeared in the ranking for the first time, with a score of 59 out of 100.

"The results reflect the alignment of our sustainability strategies with those of our businesses and our commitment, as a holding company, to contribute to sustainable development in each of our companies, including monitoring the implementation and adoption of high governance and socio-environmental practices that contribute to the continuous evolution of this agenda throughout the group," explains Paula Pedrão, Simpar's Communications and Sustainability director.

The assessment is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), a questionnaire that analyzes the sustainable practices of companies around the world. To be included in the yearbook, companies need to have a performance that is at least among the 15% best in their respective sector. In this cycle, 9,400 companies were assessed and only 759 were included in the report.

In addition, this year Simpar and its subsidiaries JSL and Vamos maintained their B rating within the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) feedback, while Movida raised its grade to A-, an increase that proves their collective efforts on sustainability fronts.
